Today, on International Women’s Day, I stand in solidarity with our women, support groups, and advocates who tirelessly work to dismantle systemic barriers that women from all backgrounds face in their personal and professional lives, including in political leadership positions.
I salute our women across the nation who remain true to their values, demonstrating hard work, compassion, and integrity in their respective roles at home and in the society.
This day is not only a day for celebration, but also a call to action, reminding us of the ongoing work needed for a world and nation where every woman and the girl child has the equal and necessary opportunities to thrive, where we succeed without bias, limitations, and discrimination.
