SENATOR IPALIBO HARRY BANIGO: COMMITTED TO EMPOWERING WOMEN & YOUTHS!
The Senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District, Sen. Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo (DSSRS) continues to take bold steps in Empowering Her Constituents of Rivers West Senatorial District. The Senator is ensuring that women and youths have the skills, resources, and financial support for economic sustenance in the LGAs.
Her dedication to sustainable development and economic empowerment is evident in her latest initiative of an intensive poultry farming training program that took place in Degema, Rivers State, from March 10th to 12th, 2025.
Through this transformative program, 100 participants received hands-on training in: Modern poultry techniques – from hatching to broiler management, Profitable marketing strategies, Chick management, medication & disease prevention.
Beyond the training, the Senator ensured participants received a strong foundation to kickstart their poultry businesses with ₦130,000 financial business support, 2500 birds to start their farm, bags of feeds, Cages, feeding trays & drinkers.
This initiative is part of her ongoing commitment to improving food security, job creation, and financial independence across Rivers West. By equipping constituents with these practical skills and resources.
The program was attended by esteemed dignitaries, Prof. Udo Harbart the Registrar/CEO, Nigeria Institute of Animal Science and Mr. Julius Clement from the Federal Ministry of Special Duties & Intergovernmental Affairs.
Senator Banigo’s leadership is about delivering results, creating opportunities, and building a stronger Rivers West! There is more to come, as she remains steadfast in her mission to uplift communities through impactful programs.
