The Senator representing the good people of Rivers West Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has formally submitted her Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to seek re-election into the Nigerian Senate.

Her decision to seek another mandate is anchored on a proven record of legislative service, an unwavering commitment to her constituents, and a clear vision to consolidate and expand the gains recorded across the district.

Speaking shortly after the submission, Senator Banigo reaffirmed her dedication to effective representation and people-centered governance, noting that her legislative interventions have consistently been guided by the needs and aspirations of her constituents.

“This decision is anchored on a proven track record of legislative service, unwavering commitment to my constituents, and a clear vision to consolidate the gains already made,” she stated.

The Senator also reiterated her full support for the party’s Renewed Hope Agenda, while expressing confidence in the integrity of the party’s processes, structures, and eventual decisions.

In addition, she emphasized her commitment to advancing the role of women in governance, stressing that more opportunities must continue to be created for women to contribute meaningfully to national development.

Senator Banigo commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for fostering an enabling environment for women in politics and leadership, noting that her political journey has remained one of continuity, consolidation, and inclusive progress.

She further expressed appreciation to her constituents and supporters across the various Local Government Areas for their overwhelming show of support and encouragement, assuring them of her continued dedication to their welfare, development, and visibility.

“I urge all aspirants to remain united, focused, and guided by the collective interest of our party and our people, as we work together to deepen progress and strengthen the future of our great party,” she added.

Senator Banigo reaffirmed her commitment to sustained engagement with the people through consultations, town hall meetings, and responsive legislative actions, pledging to deliver even greater dividends of democracy if re-elected.
